A little history
We understand the cottage was build in about 1820. It has very thick walls and the roof has been lifted making us think it may have had a use connected to Kingsley Mill from which a track leads over the Cottage grounds connecting to another mill that once existed upstream.
Ann and I (Ray) brought the cottage in November 2015. We lived in the cottage during the renovation moving out for only eight weeks when things got a bit desperate. in the early stages of the work Anne drove a dilapidated JCB. Later Jim Taylor, helped me with the renovation learning how to build in the process. Although a good friend now he says he never wants to do such a project again as it was so difficult.
